Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the Hope Technology School.  Every spring we look forward to meeting prospective students and families, and to talking with them about their educational goals.  In turn, we hope you enjoy learning about HTS. We would like to send out a reminder to all applicants and alleviate any confusion regarding our admissions process. 

The admission process is as follows:

1. Fill out HTS application
2. Our admissions team will call to schedule a 30 minute visit/interview with you and your child at HTS.
3. Student shadow for a day in the classroom
4. The teacher gives feedback to the admissions committee
5. Decision by Admissions Committee
6. An official letter of acceptance will be given from HTS if this is an appropriate placement for your child

No student is officially accepted unless they receive acceptance in writing via a letter in the mail.

Admission Procedures

At the Hope Technology School we believe that every child can learn in the most appropriate educational environment. That's why our desire is to help you select the best possible placement for your child.

Hope Technology School: Application Checklist

All of the following items must be received by Hope Technology School for your application to be considered complete.  When your application is complete, you may be contacted in order to schedule an intake interview and academic screening (depending on classroom openings and availablility).  After this interview, your child's name will be moved into our application pool.  All applications for admission will be kept on file for two years, after which, re-application is necessary to remain in the applicant pool.

q       Child's Birth Certificate

q       Proof of address (a driver's license, utility bill with your name or copy of lease)

q      Current physical exam form from family physician or pediatrician including immunizations (click to download Medical Form, Immunization Form, and Immunization Schedule)

q      Latest report card and/or progress reports, including special services, and copy of current IEP, if applicable

q       Current photograph of your child

After all of the above are complete:

q       Intake interview and academic screening with Hope Technology School Staff.

No application is considered complete without all of the above mentioned supporting documents.  Hope Technology School reserves the right to accept students based upon the admission committee's decision that the school is an appropriate educational placement for the child.
